Competitive Fall Rowing at the Northern Virginia Rowing Club

This Fall, the Northern Virginia Rowing Club ( is providing an opportunity for experienced high school rowers (boys and girls) with at least one year of experience required (two preferred) to row in eights, fours and maybe even an octuple a few times. Register to join this program dedicated to improving skills, getting in lots of miles, and competing in some of the local head races. There also may be an opportunity for select girls and select boys boat to row in the Head of the Charles (depends on getting an entry accepted - additional costs and practices will be required for those interested). The program will run from Wednesday, September 8 through Sunday, November 7, 2010. Practices will be held four days each week: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sandy Run Regional Park. Early registrants get preference in the event the program fills up.

Resilient Rowing Club

Junior Learn to Row Fall 2013: Resilient Rowing Club prides itself on teaching the highest quality of rowing technique to rowers of all ages and experience levels. We currently offer two week learn to row camps at Sandy Run Rowing Facility on the beautiful Occoquan Reservoir. This introductory class is designed for youth ages 13 through 18 who are interested in getting a start with the sport of rowing. Each practice will introduce new rowers & coxswains fundamental boat-handling and rowing technique skills as well as the general basics of the sport. Graduates of this class can move into Resilient Rowing Club's Developmental Team or join their high school's novice program. The cost is $250 for the 2 week session and includes 13 practices.

Please note that no prior rowing experience is required but all students under the age of 18 will be required to pass a swim test. Additionally, a minimum of 5 students must be registered for each learn to row session to run.

Saturday, Sept 14th through Saturday, Sept 28th - Practices will be held Monday through Friday from 4:30-7:00pm and Saturdays from 10:30-1:00pm.

Bull Run Rowing Club

BRRC is hosting a dynamic and flexible rowing camp near Clifton, VA on at the Bull Run Marina!
Fall Crew is for novices (beginners) and experienced rowers who are not seeking to compete and continue to develop particular rowing or athletic skills. More info here.
